Head of Renewable Energy Sources Department (m/f)

comcross croatia d.o.o. is seeking an expert with a proven track record in developing and managing solar power plant projects (500 kW and above) and energy storage systems (BESS) to take over the management of our Renewable Energy Sources Department.

• Department Management: Overseeing departmental operations with a focus on solar power projects (≥ 500 kW) and energy storage systems (BESS).
• Strategic Growth: Creating, developing, and implementing strategies for the department's growth, profitability, and market positioning.
• Project Leadership: Independent management and coordination of projects, including planning, supervision, technical compliance, and communication with investors.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment and materials.
• Financial Oversight: Participating in the preparation of price offers, bills of quantities (BoQ), and project budgets.
• Reporting: Managing resources, costs, and project profitability while reporting directly to the Management Board.
• Team Leadership: Leading, developing, and mentoring team members, ensuring high-quality and responsible task execution.
• Operational Excellence: Performing other tasks inherent to the nature of the position.

Requirements and Competencies

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated track record in the design, management, or technical supervision of solar power plants with a minimum capacity of 500 kW.
• BESS Expertise: Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of technical specifications and technologies (inverters, transformers, SCADA, protection systems, battery systems).
• Stakeholder Management: Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including investors, contractors, designers, supervisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Project Administration: Knowledge of resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and project documentation.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability in people management, task delegation, and technical mentoring.
• Strategic Alignment: Readiness to take responsibility for departmental results and alignment with the company's business goals.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical and commercial information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in C&I projects (>500 kW) and/or industrial energy systems.
• Experience in public or commercial investment projects.
• Familiarity with Croatian regulatory procedures for grid connection and construction of solar power plants.
• Professional certification as a Chartered Electrical Engineer.
